Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • RHP/1BPosition Projection

03/17/2024 - National Showcase - Thousand Oaks, CA Logan is a 2026 RHP/1B prospect with a tall frame at 6'4" 180 pounds. At first, he does a nice job of staying active with his feet and has range to the backhand side. He does a nice job of getting in a low fielding position with his hands out in front, doing well to make all the routine plays. He flashes a nice backhand. He has a quick exchange and makes accurate throws with strength online to his targets. He moves well around the bag and gets his feet in a good position to receive. At the plate, he starts in a tall stance and he shows off smooth movements to the baseball with good timing. He does a nice job of getting his lower half involved. He throws his hands at the baseball with a direct swing path and the bat speed plays. He makes hard, line drive contact and recorded an exit velo of 84 MPH. On the mound, he gathers his balance over the rubber and gets on-time separation. He works downhill and extends through his release point. He works hard to stay squared to the plate and he does a really nice job with his frontside and glove tuck. He ran his FB up to 77 and showed good feel for the strike zone. His SL shows off sharp, late break and he gets a great MPH difference from his FB with his CH and throws the pitch with some sink. Overall, Logan is an exciting prospect that we are looking forward to seeing more of as he continues to develop!

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
