01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (HS) Logan is an OF/2B prospect who showcased his skills during the Pre-Season Prospects Tournament. In the field, Logan shows active footwork and makes the routine plays. His exchange is clean and he works to make accurate throws to his target. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Logan field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a centered stride. He works through a level swing and produces solid contact. Logan can create more consistent contact by working a smoother load into his swing. Overall, Logan is a developing prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

08/02/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Logan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He needs to work to get behind balls more and play through with momentum to his target. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

08/05/2019 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Logan is a hard working 2021 infield prospect that made several adjustments throughout the week. At 2B, Logan fields the ball in front of his body and throws from multiple arm angles. Logan needs to continue to present a low/early glove, work from the ground up, and be on time with his prep step. Continuing to improve his first step to the ball, and creating angles will improve his range. Following a long toss program this off season will help to improve his arm strength as well. At the plate, Logan starts in an athletic stance, he gets the barrel on plane to the ball, and has a middle approach. Starting in a wider/athletic stance, loading his hands back, and getting his front foot down on time will improve his approach. Shortening up his swing will improve his barrel control and get his barrel inside the ball more consistently. Long brought good energy all week and we hope to see his progress in the future.

06/02/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Swarthmore (Philadelphia), PA Logan is a thin, 2-way player who plays OF and 2nd base. In the OF, Logan has soft hands and active feet. He gets good reads, makes plays, and plays through the ball with an accurate arm to his target. In the INF, Logan has a soft glove, active feet, and he keeps the ball in front of his body. He has a clean exchange and delivers the ball with accuracy across the diamond. At the plate, Logan has a square set-up, he loads well, and tracks to contact. He swings on plane, he can spray the ball to all fields, and he uses some lower body.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
