03/26/2023 - National Showcase - San Marcos (San Diego), CA This was Mosman's best performance to date in front of our crew. His mix of athleticism and power are exciting. Comfort level on the field is high. At the plate, he barreled almost every baseball he was thrown with line-drive, gap-to-gap power. Defensively, he is a sturdy wall at first base flashing soft hands and a strong arm across the diamond. On the mound, fastball touched 78mph with command. A crafty curveball and a 70-72mph changeup rounded out his three pitch mix. Although he shaved .3 seconds off of his 60 yard dash in the last few months, we want him to continue to focus on increasing his foot speed. Mosman should continue to turn heads as he moves into his junior year in the fall.

10/30/2022 - National Evaluation and Tryout - San Marcos (San Diego), CA In the last 3 months, Logan has bumped up 5mph on his pull-down now up to 80mph. Broad jump went up 7 inches to 7'7" and exit velocity while hitting increased from 79mph to 84mph. Every time we see Mosman, he seems to gain confidence and rhythm. At first base, he stays low to the ground with advanced glove control and strong carry on his throws across the diamond to third base. At the plate, he displays quick hands and a direct barrel. On the mound, fastball velocity went up 3mph in the last 3 months mostly due to increased ability to finish pitches. Mosman should have a solid sophomore campaign in the spring.

08/02/2022 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Irvine (Los Angeles), CA Logan is an athletic 1B/LHP in the 2025 class. In the field, he moves well around the bag and has an above average awareness for the position. He is agile and fields in an athletic position. His hands are soft and his exchanges are clean. Displays a strong and accurate arm across the diamond. On e the mound, he operates with a 3-pitch mix with loose arm action. His FB topped at 69 and controlled both sides of the plate well. His CB sat 57-60 with 1-7 shape with depth. His CH sat 62-3 and accelerates his body through the pitch with FB arm speed. At the plate, he is routinely on time with the pitch and produces hard contact. He uses his hips well and demonstrates power potential. Has a direct path with bat speed (79 exit velo). Overall, Logan is a promising two-way prospect with a bright future.

11/21/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Irvine (Los Angeles), CA Logan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At 1B, defensive abilities have improved as he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through an athletic, open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 63 mph. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/26/2020 - National Tryout Plus - San Diego, CA Logan worked out on the mound and at 1B during his last workout with The Factory. On the mound, this LHP has good balance, solid glove side lead, and he separates his hands on time. He gets good extension on his pitches, keeps a still head on target, and he finishes completely. Defensively, Logan moves with efficient footwork to the ball, he makes plays consistently, and throws with a short arm action and accuracy to his target. At the plate, Logan has a tall/square stance, good balance, and he loads his hands well. He makes consistent contact and taps into some lower body.

11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Logan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact with power showing best to the pull side. At the event, he was 1 for 3 with a 2B. At 1B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 63 mph. Fastball showed a range of 56-63 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with early break. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best he can be.

07/12/2019 - Interactive Video Program - San Marcos (San Diego), CA Logan is a young, 2-way player who pitches and plays 1st base. Defensively, Logan has an aggressive 1st step to the ball, he fields squarely, and covers ground well. He keeps the ball in front of his body, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy and momentum to his target. On the mound, this LHP has good balance, he separates his hands on time, and finishes in a complete position toward home plate. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
