10/27/2024 - National Showcase - Stillwater (Minneapolis), MN Logan is a skilled 2025 catcher from Forest Lake, MN, who brings a combination of athleticism and strength to the position with his medium frame and stout build. He demonstrates an easy sit behind the plate with athletic actions, quick feet, and excellent agility. His low secondary stance allows him to quickly gain ground when throwing to second base, and his quick transfer and release make his throws accurate and efficient. With an arm velocity up to 88 mph, he recorded an impressive pop time of 1.98 seconds, showing his strong, accurate arm. Behind the plate, he also excels at blocking, using good angles and a soft chest to tuck his chin, keeping his body in the optimal position. At the plate, he hits from the right side with an open stance and a solid lower half that helps him drive the ball. His hands separate well, and he consistently makes hard contact, with balls jumping off his bat during batting practice and reaching 87 mph. His power to the pull side is notable, and he demonstrates an advanced understanding of his swing mechanics. Another season of growth and development will only continue to elevate his game, making Logan a promising catching prospect with a bright future.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
