03/14/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Nashville, TN Logan is a strong C/3B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. Behind the plate, Logan shows active footwork and is efficient moving to block. He sits in a square stance and receives with a firm glove. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws to the 2B bag. At 3B, Logan shows active footwork and moves well laterally. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate/on-line to his target. Long tossing can help Logan build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid to load and works through a level swing, producing consistent line drives. Logan can generate more pop off the barrel by engaging his lower half more. Overall, Logan is a solid prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

10/24/2020 - Fall Pro Training Experience - OH (HS) Logan continues to shine on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for barrel with gap-to-gap pop. At the event, he was 1 for 3. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, but needs to work to get his body down sooner. Pop times continue to drop as he threw his lowest time to date. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic (Ages 12-14) Logan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.69 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Hands are soft / sure and he sticks balls in the zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a level swing path. At the event, he was 2 for 7 with a 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a team player, coachable, and plays the game hard.

09/01/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Evansville, IN Logan is a young, solid, 2-way player who catches and plays 3rd base. Behind the plate, Logan tracks the ball well, he sits in squarely, and holds a nice target. He keeps the ball in front when blocking, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a short arm action to 2nd base. Pop times were as low as 3.0 seconds. At 3B, Logan has good pre-pitch actions, he fields squarely, and the ball sticks to his glove. He has a clean exchange and a consistent arm across the diamond. Offensively, Logan has a square stance, good balance, and he shows fast bat speed. He stays inside the ball well and hits hard to the pull side. Overall abilities can further improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
