08/20/2023 - National Showcase - Hartford, CT Logan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, defensive abilities have improved as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an open setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 73 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Logan is a class of 2027 2B/RHP prospect. At the plate, he showed good feel for the barrel throughout his BP round. Showed simple and repeatable mechanics. Did a good job hitting the baseball where pitched. Rotates and extends through the baseball often, this resulted in a hard hit single up the middle in game action. In the field, he does a very good job creating angles to the baseball. Athletic fielding position to start and good pre-pitch actions. Gets good reads off the bat and fields with his hands out front. On the mound, he showed good feel for both of his offerings. In game action he did a very good job of pitching with his fastball to get ahead in counts. Logan is a talented young prospect that we hope we can see again in the future.

10/30/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - Tiverton (Providence), RI Logan raised arm velocity to 76 MPH and lowered 60 time to 7.56 seconds during his last workout with The Factory. At SS, Logan has quick/active feet, agile range, and a soft/presentable glove. He has athletic actions, a quick exchange, and throws with momentum and accuracy across the diamond. On the mound, Logan has good balance, a loose arm action, and on-time hand separation. He has a controlled landing toward home plate and competes well in the zone. Offensively, Logan has a tall stance, he loads well, and stands in with solid balance. He has quick hands, a direct/consistent barrel, and he uses his lower body.

11/14/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Marlborough (Boston), MA Logan is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2027. In the field, Logan shows fluid footwork and creates good angles. He fields in a square position and has a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball quickly and makes accurate throws across the diamond. Getting into a lower fielding position can help Logan field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and gets good extension through his swing, spraying the ball to all fields. Logan can barrel up more baseballs by working through a shorter/more level swing path. On the mound, Logan works with a quick arm and extends through his release, finishing with his chest over his front knee. He operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 61mph. Breaking ball sits at 54mph with 9-3 break. Changeup sits from 48-51mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Gathering to a balance point over the rubber can help Logan improve his pitch command. With six more years to develop, Logan has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
