08/29/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD Louie is an athletic INF/RHP who recently competed well at the Ripken Games in MD. In the field, he shows excellent range and a strong arm at 63 velo. His accurate and can make the big play. On the mound, he works out of the stretch with a quick arm. He pitches ahead and has a mound presence. His FB sat 55-61 and his CB ranged at 48. He collected 3 strikeouts in 2 innings of work. Scouts would like to see him use his lower half more and become a defender after the pitch is released by backing up bases. At the plate, he has raw power at 64 exit velo. He had a great week at the plate with 6 hits. He is a dual threat with excellent speed and aggressive nature. Overall, Louie is a great player with a big future.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
