12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Lucien is a 2025 SS/RHP out of Twisp, WA that showcased his talents at the BF Recruiting Classic. At SS, he starts in an athletic position and has quick feet. He has a low-athletic fielding position with hands in front of his body. He has a quick exchange and throws from a ¾ arm slot. His arm velocity was 78 mph. At the plate, he starts in a square stance with a comfortable hand position. He has an activated load and a square stride towards the pitcher. He consistently hit balls hard in both batting practice and in games. On the mound, he showcased a fastball and breaking ball. He has good balance over the rubber and a repeatable motion. In his few innings of work, he showed great feel for the position and good baseball IQ. He was coachable, worked hard, and hustled during his time in Arizona. During the games, he picked up 3 hits and a walk at the dish. We are excited to see how Lucien progresses in the next year, we foresee him continuing to develop as maturity increases.

04/16/2023 - National Showcase - Seattle, WA Lucien is a 2025 SS prospect from Twisp, WA. At short, he shows off quick feet and range to all angles. He does a nice job pre-pitch of getting in an athletic ready position. He fields out in front and makes all the routine plays. He has a quick exchange and release on throws across the diamond. He is capable of throwing from different arm slots depending on the play. He does a good job of following his flips on double play balls. At the plate, he starts in an open stance and gets a good load. His lower half does a nice job of working through the baseball and his hips finish through contact. He has a line-drive approach and sprays the ball to all fields. Works hard to keep his swing on a level plane through the zone. We are excited to see more of Lucien in the future!

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
