11/09/2008 - College PREP - Miami Shores, FL Lukas is a tall strong looking pitcher. On the mound, Lukas shows good balance and a directional delivery. He works quickly and is mostly accurate with all pitches. With greater use of his lower half in his delivery, his pitching grades could improve. Behind the plate, Lukas shows an accurate arm on throws to 2B. He has slightly above average blocking ability and he receives the ball with soft hands. He is a solid catcher. At the plate, Lukas has a quick short swing. He sets up well and he has some juice in his bat. He needs to work on staying balanced throughout the swing in order to make consistent contact.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
