07/13/2010 - College PREP - Washington DC, MD Luke is a thin, wiry, 3rd baseman that hits from the left side. Defensively, Luke has good hands and footwork, and he attacks the ball aggressively. He has an early glove, he works on the balls of his feet, and he carries good momentum toward his target. If Luke can work to field the ball in a lower position, and avoid standing up to throw, defensive numbers can further improve. At the plate, Luke has good bat speed and barrel accuracy. He has direct hands to the ball, he centers it well, and he has a middle approach. Hitting can get better if Luke can avoid dropping his hands, add physical strength, and tap into more of his lower 1/2.
