01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Luke is a strong athletic 6ft 3/205 3B/RHP in the 2026 class. He recently impressed scouts with his skill set at the BF Preseason All American event. Defensively, he plays the hot corner with easy actions. His feet are in synch with his body and he gains ground with a positive 1st step. Gains an athletic and square fielding position with soft hands and works through the baseball. Shows positive lateral actions to both his glove and arm side and redirects with a quick motion. Can use multiple arm slots based upon his defensive zones and stays connected to his boy with short arm action. Arm has life and is accurate across the diamond and on his DP feeds. On the mound, he shows excellent lower half drive with a clean arm. His FB sat 79-83 with slight running action. His CB shaped 11-5 and was in the zone at 73. His CH has solid feel at 71. Proves to control the running game with a mix of looks and quick feet on his picks. At the plate, he shows a comfortable base to go with a smooth on time stride. Hits off a firm front side and has excellent hip engagement. Swings with intent (88 exit velo) and has gap-to-gap power. Overall, Luke is a must follow in the 2026 as a two-way prospect.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Luke is a 2026 RHP/3B who showcased his skills during the BF Rookie PSAA Tournament. Made accurate throws across the diamond from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 79mph. On the mound, he has a confident mound presence with a good feel for pitching. He starts with a good rear hip coil and works with good direction down the mound. Attacks hitters with a FB topping out at 81mph with good sinking action, and an 10/4 shaped slider with good depth. At the plate, he sets up in an athletic and open stance with loose hands. Has a controlled load and has a smooth swing. He hit balls hard into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 83mph during his round of BP. During the games, Luke reached base 5 times with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. 10/12/2022 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic (2026) Luke is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Fall Classic. In the field, Luke creates good angles and gets into position on time. He fields the ball out in front of his body and gains ground well on his throws, working to keep them accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance with comfortable hands. He is controlled getting his hands activated in his load and hits against a strong front side. He extends through the ball with fast bat speed, driving the ball from gap to gap. On the mound, Luke's fastball tops out at 78mph with tailing action. Overall, Luke is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
