07/25/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Elizabethtown, KY Maddox is a 1B/LHP with a lot of potential on the diamond. At first base, he demonstrates smooth, fluid actions and solid footwork around the bag, making him a quality receiver. His hands are clean and present well out front. At the plate, Maddox has loose hands that work through an aggressive swing path, staying inside the ball and utilizing all fields with leverage in his swing. On the mound, his fastball ranges from 43-45 mph.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
