01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Mana continues to shine with his baseball abilities at the Preseason All American event. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are firm but needs to present more out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness.

09/21/2022 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic (2024) Mana continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities at the Arizona Jr Fall Classic. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his low ¾ arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 83 mph. Fastball shows good arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for pitch with arm side run. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. At 3B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth, clean actions. Feet are active as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. He has a quick release and allows his throws to remain accurate and carry through his target. At the plate, hitting abiltieis are well above average with excellent power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half work well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 2 for 6 with a 2B and HR. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

10/06/2021 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Mana showed very well at the AZ Fall Classic. Defensively, he showed the ability to work through the baseball with his glove out front creating momentum towards first to create carry on his throws. Offensively, Mana hits from both sides of the plate. He displayed more power from the right side of the plate and more contact from the left side but both sides show good hitting mechanics. Pitching, Mana really shined throwing a ton of strikes at the event. He had his highest FB to date at 82 mph and we think if he utilizes his legs properly off the rubber that number will jump. Overall, he is a true ball player and is always learning to improve his game.

10/14/2020 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic Mana continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. At 3B, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active as attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. He consistently has great Abs and shows a good feel for the strike zone. At the event he was 2 for 8 with a 2B and 4 BB. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 81 mph. Fastball showed a range of 78-81 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late / sharp break and shows potential as being an outstanding out pitch. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. He shows good mound presence and competes on the bump. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

09/04/2020 - MS All-Region Tournament Mana is a talented 2-way player who continues to shine. On the mound, this righty attacks hitters and throws strikes consistently. Arm works quickly with good arm-side run on his FB - 76-77 mph. Breaking ball has 10/4 shape with good depth and shows to be a solid out pitch. He pounds the zone and gives he defense a chance. At the plate, this switch hitter shows more naturally from the right side. He has a god eye for the zone, as he drew 3 walks and collected a 2B as well. He has smooth rhythm to load and swings on a direct path, connecting with some pop. At 3B, he hustles into a square fielding position and tracks GB's into a soft mitt. Transfer is clean with accurate/on-line throws to his target. Mana is a skilled prospect who will make an impact in a variety of ways on the diamond in this only his Freshman year.

01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Mana showed well all around the diamond during his last workout in Pirate City. He is a strong, athletic, player with a high ceiling. At 3rd base, Mana makes plays, he fields cleanly, and his footwork is efficient. He fields squarely, gains some ground, and has a strong/accurate arm across the diamond. On the mound, Mana stands tall over the rubber, he has a loose arm action, and he throws strikes. He attacks hitters aggressively, gets good extension, and his CB shows solid tilt. At the plate, Mana is currently better from the right side. He has good strength, fast bat speed, and he swings on plane. From the left side, Mana stands in squarely, he swings in good rhythm, and he makes solid/consistent contact.

11/03/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Waterford Township (Detroit), MI Mana increased radar velocity to 70 MPH and showed a spike in RHH numbers during his last workout with The Factory. At 3B, Mana has a clean glove, he makes plays on balls hit his way, and he tracks to his glove. He shows good range to the backhand, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a consistent arm with accuracy to 1st base. On the mound, Mana has good balance and he separates his hands on time. He has good direction, a controlled landing, and throws strikes. At the plate, Mana is currently better from the right side. He has an athletic stance, good feel for the barrel, and pop in his bat. From the left, Mana has a rhythmic swing, good bat speed, and he uses his lower body. Mana is a nice prospect and will continue to get better with added physical strength.

07/21/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Mana continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean but needs to present earlier and more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he only showed as a RHH with a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, he has a good overall delivery, a good arm action, and he rotates his hips through to his target. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 69 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

01/27/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Dayton, OH Mana is a RHP/3B prospect who will graduate in 2025. On the mound, Mana gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He keeps his eyes on target and works the bottom of the zone. Mana shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 63mph with sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 57-58mph with sharp 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 59-60mph as he throws with deceptive arm speed. In the field, Mana shows efficient footwork and takes good angles. He fields with a firm glove and makes a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball quickly and keeps his throws consistently on-line to his target. At the plate, this switch hitter shows a solid swing from both sides. He sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a level swing and sprays the ball to all fields. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
