04/23/2023 - National Showcase - San Antonio, TX Manny is a 3B who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame athletic build with room to fill throughout moving forward. At 3B, he works to center the baseball with ability to pick out hops. Fields out front from an athletic/square fielding position and keeps his eyes behind glove. Made accurate throws to first base from multiple arm slots and an arm velocity up to 82mph. A right-handed hitter, he starts with an upright and closed stance. Showed late bat whip and a fast barrel through the hitting zone. A flat barrel path enables him to hit balls to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 87mph. With another year of continued growth and development, we foresee him having a bright future on the baseball field.

05/12/2019 - Interactive Video Program - San Antonio, TX Manuel is a thin, athletic, 2-way player who pitches and plays SS. On the mound, Manuel has good balance, a clean arm circle, and good direction toward the plate. He works well to his balance point, has a proper length stride toward the plate, and he finishes in a complete position. At SS, Manuel has active feet, a presentable glove, and he fields in a square position. He makes plays, has a clean exchange, and throws with consistency and momentum toward his target from a short arm action. Offensively, Manuel has an open stance, a square stride, and he swings in good rhythm. He makes hard contact to the pull side and he uses some lower body. Solid overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
