04/30/2017 - College PREP - Fort Myers, FL Marco is an interesting, young RHP/3B prospect. As a 3B, Marco has good timing on the ball, and makes the routine play. He tracks the GB into his mitt and gathers well. If he continues to create pre pitch movement, increase his ability to go side-to-side, present a low/early glove, and play through the ball, he will continue to progress at 3B. At the plate, Marco has rhythm in his swing, makes hard pull contact, and has a loose swing through contact. If he continues to load his hands into the drive position, attack the inside part of the ball, drive his back side into the ball, and have a strong top hand at contact, he will drive the ball consistently to all fields. As a Pitcher, Marco has rhythm in his hands, drives his back hip toward the plate, and repeats his delivery. Staying balanced over the rubber, shortening up his stride, and having better tempo in his delivery will allow him to be more consisting in the strike zone. Marco is a solid athlete who has upside on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
