06/24/2010 - Omaha Pro Select Training and Tournament - Week 2 Marcus is a two-way player in the OF plus at 2B. He is aggressive in his defensive play as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls in the OF. He needs to work to get behind ball more to play through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate he will benefit by getting on a long toss program to develop more carry. Offensively, Henderson shows an athletic setup as he keeps hands through the baseball at contact. He has some mechanical flaws that are hindering him from reaching his full potential with grades improving with instruction and adjustments. Marcus has abilities with a lot of room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
