He did show at 3B for the first time at the event. At 3B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He starts in an athletic ready position and fields in a square position. Glove action is sure and present well out front. He moves well laterally, utilizing his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, he shows a closed setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 77 mph. He shows a 3-pitch mix, keeping hitters guessing. Fastball shows a range of 76-77 mph with arm side run and sinking action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Slider is harder with tight spin and 10/4 shape. Control is solid as he attacks hitters, throws strikes with all his pitches. He shows a good mound presence and is confident on the mound. With 4 years to further develop, Mark has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.
