11/16/2024 - National Showcase - Bronx, NY Marley is a second baseman in the 2026 class who consistently demonstrates solid defensive fundamentals. He activates his feet well, allowing him to make routine plays with good glove angles and a clean exchange. His throws to first base are consistently accurate and reliable. As a left-handed hitter, Marley starts in a closed stance with excellent balance, creating a good bat angle at contact. His short barrel path helps him make consistent contact to all fields, showing versatility at the plate. With two more years of growth and development, Marley’s skills will continue to refine, making him a well-rounded and promising player.

08/10/2024 - Baseball Factory Prospect Combine Marley is a 2026 2B from Astoria, NY who showcased his abilities at the BF prospect camp. Tries to create angles and fields out front. Shows a low funnel and throws from a low arm slot. Has good touch on his DP feeds. Has a tendency to sit back on ball. He hits from a tall and relaxed stance with loose hands. Has a simple swing with fluid timing. He rotates his lower half and shows good barrel control. During the games he made consistent contact and had an RBI. Marley hustles while he is on the field and is coachable. Look forward to seeing him at another event soon.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
