04/18/2010 - College PREP - Stockton (Sacramento), CA Marshall is a two-way player at SS plus on the mound with an athletic body that is well suited for his positions. Currently, he is more suited for SS for the next level. Feet are active and aggressive on his approach on ground balls, playing through well. He moves well laterally, displaying range and has the arm strength to make all the throws. Glove action is soft, clean, and sure in making all the plays. He displays athletic actions as hands and feet work well through the fielding and throwing process. Offensively, McKinnon has a solid approach as he works his hands through the baseball at contact. He will use the entire field with baseball jumping off his bat when centered. Swing path gets uphill at times and he needs to work on staying on top of baseball. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 78-83 mph with breaking ball needing further development to be a quality pitch at the next level. Marshall has the makings to be a solid collegiate SS both offensively and defensively as he will get looks from the collegiate coaches.
