06/24/2010 - Omaha Pro Select Training and Tournament - Week 2 Marshall is a SS with a small, solid, and athletic frame that is well suited for his position. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 6.91 60 time. Feet are aggressive to the baseball as he comes gets, plays through the baseball. Hands and feet work well together through the fielding process. Throws show accuracy with the ability to throw on the run but arm is more suited for 2B at the next level. Offensively, Rolin shows a balanced approach with hands working directly to the baseball through a level swing path. He makes contact with power grades improving as he learns to utilize his lower half more efficiently through the swing. Marshall has abilities with a lot of room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
