Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • SS/RHPPosition Projection

05/26/2024 - All-In National Showcase - Minneapolis, MN Mason is a SS/RHP prospect in the graduating class of 2029. He shows off a good frame for his age with room to continue to fill out. In the field, he does a good job of working from the ground up. Does a good job of picking out hops and has soft hands and fields out front. On the mound, he gets a good rear hip coil with good balance. He delivers all 3 pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot and lands square to his target. He showed a good FB that sat 73-75mph and an 11/5 shaped breaking ball. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance. Hits into a firm front side with a fast bat through the hitting zone. Hit hard line drives into both gaps during his round of BP. With 5 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Mason having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
