01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Matthew is a tall athletic 2026 OF out of Valdosta, GA who showcased his talents at the BF Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the outfield, he has quick feet and good range. He has a positive first step and great instincts. He works through the baseball and gets into an athletic fielding position. He throws from a high ¾ arm slot and had accurate throws from the outfield. At the plate, Matthew has an open stance and an activated load. He has good rhythm and gets his lower ½ through. He has fast hands and a direct swing path. He has great feel for his barrel and has good direction to the middle of the field. With 2 1/2 years of continued growth and development before his senior year, we believe that Matthew will continue to become a great player on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
