07/28/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Matthew is a talented outfield prospect who has skill on both sides of the ball and graduates in 2019. In the outfield, Matthew plays with quick, fluid footwork and agile actions as he attacks the ball with a great first step. He takes the correct angles to cover good ground and stays behind the baseball. He present his glove and fields the baseball in a square, athletic position. Matthew has a clean exchange leading into a long, loose arm action throwing from an over the top arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the baseball showing strong, accurate throws. As a left-handed hitter, Matthew has a slightly open stance with a centered balance. He has fluid rhythm with a smooth load and short, square stride. Matthew has an on-plane swing path producing consistent contact. He is a contact type hitter who has the ability to use all fields. Overall, Matthew is a well-rounded prospect who the plays the game the right way giving high potential to make an impact at the next level.
