01/01/2013 - 2013 Baseball Factory Top 100, powered by Under Armour True CF prospect who may be the fastest player in the draft. Patient approach at the plate with short LH stroke gives the look of a future lead off man.

08/18/2012 - Under Armour All-America Game McPhearson has a slender, muscular build. He is among the fastest players in the entire 2013 class, and his left handed line drive stroke only makes his speed more usable. He has rhythm to hit, and his stroke is compact and loose with quick hands. Defensively, he has the talent to stick in CF. Combination of top of the scale speed, solid left handed bat and potential to play CF at highest level make McPhearson a coveted draft prospect.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
