07/18/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Max is a tall, athletic OF/LHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he utilizes his athletic feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. He works to get behind balls playing through with momentum to his target. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter but projects from the right side. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, he continues to shine through a sound / repeatable delivery. Fastball shows a range of 69-71 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 6 years to further develop, Max has the makings of a special type player with time and room to progress his game, possibly as a two-way guy.
