02/27/2021 - All-In Membership - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Max is a 2024 LHP/OF. Medium frame athletic build with great projection and plenty of room to fill. Primary left-handed pitcher, gets down the mound well. Short arm circle in the back with a high 3/4 release. Repeats delivery and mixes 3 pitches well. Shows ability to command FB with slight tailing action. CB has 2/8 shape with medium break. Developing changeup with FB arm speed. Secondary OF, deliberate approach, creates good angles and works behind/through the ball. Accurate arm from a high 3/4 arm slot with good carry on throws. Online throws to infield at 82mph. Right-handed hitter, with a tall stance. Short stride to ball with some quickness to the hands. Shows good barrel control and ability to hit line drives consistently to the pull side. Four years of continued growth and development will bode well for his career at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
