01/25/2015 - Interactive Video Program - San Diego, CA Max is a young, 2-way player as a SS/C. At SS, he shows active footwork as he works around the GB. He moves well laterally and fields the ball cleanly. Behind the dish, he sits in well and tracks the ball into his mitt. On throws down to 2B, he gains ground and works in-line with a clean exchange to throw (pop times of 2.96). With the bat, this RHH has a balanced approach with a solid base. He swings on a level path and hits the ball where it's pitched, using the entire field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
