01/15/2010 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2010 Max participated in the UA Preseason All-America and showed similar skills as he did in 9/09. He lowered his 60 time from 7.62 to 7.51. He is a solid, athletic player who continues to project best in the OF. Max fields the baseball well and gets good reads on the ball. He has an accurate arm, with life and carry. Max makes plays on balls hit his way, and with added arm strength, and by working to get behind the ball better, OF skills can further improve. On the mound, Max has good mound presence and pitchability. He gets good separation, repeats his delivery, and keeps his eyes on the target. Max can work both sides of the plate, and with more lower 1/2 explosion and arm speed, his stock on the mound could rise. Offensively, Max has good balance and bat speed. He is a strong, aggressive hitter, who tracks the ball well. Max has a line drive approach and he makes solid contact. Better weight transfer, and using the opposite field should help hitting numbers improve.
