Currently, he projects best on the mound for the next level. Delivery is sound displaying proper mechanics that allows his arm to work loose and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 76-79 mph on a downhill plane. Breaking ball is best off speed pitch, displaying 10/4 shape with good depth and is his out pitch. He throws a split finger that shows glove side run. He attacks hitters as he throws strikes with all his pitches, changing speeds well. Foot speed is slightly above average as indicated by his 7.42 60 time. Feet are aggressive as he works to keep balls in front of him. He is an accurate thrower that flashes big play potential. Offensively, Macias shows an aggressive approach with hands flashing bat speed through the ball. He makes hard contact, displaying gap to gap power when he centers the baseball. With 3 years to further develop, Max has a lot of potential as he a polished pitcher that has a bright future on the mound, especially if arm strength continues to build.
