01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (TX) Max is a 3B/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the field, Max shows efficient footwork and attacks the ball aggressively. He fields with a firm glove and makes on-line throws through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and takes his stride on time. He is smooth to load and drives through well with his lower half. He stays direct through the ball and produces solid line drives to all fields. On the mound, Max gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Max shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 78mph with cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 66-68mph with 11-5 break. Overall, Max is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

09/20/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Boise, ID Max is an athletic RHP who has a promising future on the mound. Delivery is sound / repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 79-80 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. Slider is harder with tight spin and short / sharp break. Off speed stuff are quality pitches that will get outs. Command / control is outstanding as he locates well to both sides of the plate. With 2 years to further develop, Max has an upside on the mound and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities as he continues to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
