07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory Los Angeles All Star Experience (Ages 12-14) Maximus is a class of 2026 3B/RHP prospect. In the field, he did a very good job of centering the baseball. Showed an ability to make the routine play. Was very vocal. At the plate, he started in a tall and square stance. Showed very loose hands. Did a good job of staying aggressive and trying to hit early in the count. On the mound, he pitched from a high ¾ arm slot. Showed good confidence in his ability and looked the part on the mound. Filled up the strike zone and showed feel for being a command-focused pitcher. Maximus is a good prospect that we hope to see again in the future.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (MS) Maximus is a physical RHP/3B out of San Diego, CA in the class of 2026. At 3B, he moves well laterally with a good crossover step and fields the ball out front in a low fielding position. He brings the ball to the center of his body on his exchanges and makes strong throws across the diamond. At the plate, he uses a tall stance with fluid timing to work to a firm front side. He gets great extension after contact which enables him to drive the ball with gap to gap power. On the mound, he showed good composure and poise in his innings of work. He threw 2 pitches which included a fastball (70mph) and a slider that had a 10/4 action. Maximus continues to improve his game with each time out. We expect him to keep progressing his game and see big things for his future.

09/24/2021 - MS All-Region Tournament Maximus continues to showcase his baseball abilities at the Middle School All Region event. At 3B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft / sure and presents out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases his foot quickness. Throws are accurate, flashing carry across the diamond but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 68 mph. Fastball shows good cutting action. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

Academic All-American Tournament (MS) Maximus is a class of 2026 RHP/3B prospect. He shows a very physical frame. At the plate, he shows off impressive bat speed. Power potential is expected as he has had exit velos as high as 82mph already. Does a good job of getting his backside through in the swing. In the field, he showed good feel for his glove. Did a good job of getting the ball across the diamond accurately. On the mound, he showed the ability to throw both a FB and CB for strikes. Pitched out of the stretch only from an over the top arm slot. Showed overall clean mechanics. Did not allow a run in 2 innings of work. Maximus is a good prospect that we hope to see again in the future.

11/06/2020 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona Maximus is a coachable RHP/3B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Select Training & Competition in Arizona. On the mound, Maximus is controlled gathering to his balance point and separates his hands on time. He works inline toward the plate and keeps his pitches around the zone. Maximus shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 65mph. Breaking ball sits at 52mph with 10-4 break. Extending through his release can help Maximus improve his pitch command and velocity. In the field, Maximus shows quick footwork with a plus first step. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is quick and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. Maximus can make more plays by increasing his lateral range. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He gets his hands activated on time and drives through well with his lower half. He works through a level swing with plus bat speed, leading to loud contact and great raw power. Working on his pitch selection can help Maximus barrel up more baseballs. With six more years to develop, Maximus has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

01/26/2020 - Interactive Video Program - San Diego, CA Maximus is a young, 2-way player who pitches and plays 3rd base. On the mound, Maximus has good balance, a clean arm action, and he gets good extension on his pitches. He separates his hands on time, works on a downhill plane, and competes in the zone. At 3rd base, Maximus keeps the ball in front, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a short arm action across the diamond. Offensively, Maximus has a square stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He swings on plane, makes consistent contact, and he uses his lower body. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
