08/05/2024 - National Showcase - Fremont (San Jose), CA Maxwell is an OF prospect who will graduate in 2025. Tall frame athletic build with room to add throughout. Good reads off bat enable him to take proper angles to baseball. Works behind the ball and has a quick transfer off of right foot. Made on-line throws into infield from a 3/4 arm slot with a quick release. He hits from a square and athletic stance. Showed good barrel control, with quick hands, and a fast barrel through the hitting zone. During his round of BP, he hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 82mph. With another year of development, we foresee this prospect improving in all phases of his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
