08/30/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Cooperstown, NY Michael Botti is a SS/2B that recently played at the All-Ripken Games in Cooperstown. He was great on the mound and always pitches ahead of the hitters that he faced. Defensively he displayed athleticism as well as sure hands and showed a ton of range. On the mound he has great command over his fastball. He has a great presence on the mound and fields his position extremely well. His balance and coordination throughout his delivery are what allow him to consistently pitch ahead of the hitters that he faced. At the plate he is a really good hitter and was able to collect multiple hits including a two RBI single. He has a tendency to step out at times which causes his front hip to open early, if he cleans that up, he will have even more plate coverage, and his power will not only be pull side but also to the opposite field which will be extremely dangerous for opposing pitchers when they face him.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
