01/18/2013 - 2013 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament At the Pre-Season All-America, Michael topped out at 83 MPH, his hardest recorded velocity. On the mound, he throws three pitches with his 11/5 curve-ball having sharp break. He threw a lot of first pitch strikes which made his off-speed pitches very effective, despite having the best control. He is very competitive, shows an ability to make adjustments in-game, and mixes his pitches well. In the outfield, he stays behind and works through fly-balls with carry on his throws. He gets good jumps and has fluid footwork. With the bat, he stays inside the ball and makes consistent contact to all fields. Using more of his lower half will help generate more bat speed and pop. Overall, Michael projects best on the mound at the next level.
