Flack is a talented and athletic young player. He has life in his body well beyond the normal 2012 graduate, evidence by his 7.06 60-yard dash and 84 mph fastball. He also showed good bat speed and power potential at the plate, thanks mostly to strong hands and forearms. The ball got off his bat with great life. Can work to improve his trigger, tracking skills and must make sure the bat stays out of his palms. Defensively, he showed good feet and a good first step. Made routine plays, despite actions that were a bit stiff at times. Can work to get his glove more out front, and can smooth out his double play feeds. On the mound, he topped at 84 with a heavy fastball. His arm worked well back and through, and he kept the ball down in the zone well. He was poised and showed good feel to pitch. Can work to gain more control of his delivery, especially on off speed pitches. Overall, worthy of a close follow as he matures.
10/07/2006 - College PREP - Baltimore, MD
Flack is a 2012 graduate that already sits at or near HS averages. His strength is at the plate where he has a balanced approach with good barrel accuracy. He also shows a good path and will get better when he uses his top hand to drive through the baseball. At SS, he showed nearly an average HS arm with a good approach and idea for INF play. He shows a good transfer and efficient glove and foot work. Michael will be a player if he stays on track and continues to improve and get stronger. Strength alone would make him an above average HS player right now!
