12/27/2009 - Christmas Camp and Tournament #2 Michael is a lean, young athlete that will graduate in 2012. He currently projects better in the OF than on the mound, but still has plenty of time to improve at both positions. In the OF, Michael has good instincts, play skills, and arm strength for his age. His hands play well over at 1B, and his arm action is smooth and free. Agility work and long toss will help Michael defensively as he continues to grow, mature, and fill out. On the mound, Michael competes well and keeps the ball low in the zone. He challenges hitter well and does a nice job fielding his position. Michael can improve his pitching skills by incorporating more use of his lower 1/2, more velocity, and a better mix of his pitches. Offensively, Michael has good balance and bat speed for his age. He makes good use of his lower 1/2, and puts the ball in play. He can improve offensively by letting the baseball travel deeper in the zone.
