10/03/2010 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Michael is a tall, athletic, 2-way player that Pitches and plays SS. He currently projects even at both positions as he enters his Senior year. On the mound, Michael has a compact delivery, a loose arm, and he repeats his delivery well. He gets to his balance point, has good direction, and has good glove side lead. Michael competes in the zone and shows some life on his FB. Mound effectiveness can further improve if he can stay tall, add arm strength, and sharpen his command. In the INF, Michael has good footwork and hands. He attacks the ball aggressively, he fields from the right, and he plays through the baseball. Michael keeps his feet moving, follows his flips when turning the double play, and he throws accurately to his target. Defensive grades can get even better with added arm strength and better front side lead. At the plate, Michael has good balance, bat speed, and barrel accuracy. He gets his front foot down early, has a middle approach, and a level swing. Michael makes good use of his lower 1/2, and if he can loosen his grip, liven his hands, and shorten his swing, we could see a spike in offensive tool grades.
