12/27/2014 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 At 3B he showed the ability to pick out a hop with good pre pitch instincts and the baseball IQ to backup throws. Michael makes all the plays, but working on his agility, quickness and consistently fielding the ball outfront will only improve his skills. Using a level swing and an aggressive approach allows Michael to hit the ball to all fields. Learning to create balance throughout his swing with good extension through the baseball will begin to add harder, more consistent contact. Michael is a pitcher that works fast and throws strikes. He has some good arm strength as a 2017, having thrown 82 mph for us on the mound. By slowing down his tempo and coming to a more controlled balance point he will be able to implement more lower half drive for a more complete finish. Michael made adjustments throughout his time in Pirate City, and he is a high energy guy and a good teammate. If he can maintain his plus mechanics and velocity, he will be one to watch as he progresses through high school, possibly as a two-way player moving forward.
