07/09/2023 - Baseball Factory Seattle All Star Experience (Ages 14-18) Michael continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. At 3B, defensive abilities have improved, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but he will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 54-56 mph. Breaking ball displays a 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

12/18/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Chandler (Phoenix), AZ Michael is a 3B in the class of 2026. He works to keep the ball in front of him. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity up to 51mph. Plays with a good attitude. At the plate, he starts in a tall and open stance. A quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. Showed good plate discipline and only offered at pitches in the strike zone. He made contact to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 59mph. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Michael showing improvement on the baseball field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
