As a position player, he had a quality at bat each time he got in the box. His strike zone awareness is excellent and he combines good eye/hand coordination with a quality feel for the barrel to produce well as a hitter. In the outfield, he shows first step quickness and the ability to take good angles to the ball. He is aggressive and likes to make plays. On the mound, Mike is a strike thrower and mixes a fastball in the 78-81 mph range with a curveball that has 10/4 shape. He works fast and keeps his defense engaged. Overall, this young 2016 grad plays the game with confidence and has an extremely bright future. As he continues to mature, improve his foot-speed and refine his overall game Mike will have plenty of options at the next level.
