07/10/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National East Mitchell is a standout LHP (6'5"/180) who has a solid 3-pitch combo. Tempo is quick as he is looking to attack hitters. FB jumps out of his hand while showing some tail, cracking the mitt at 91 mph. He spots up well and works the ball in and out. Breaking ball has 2/8 shape with good depth, showing to be a solid out pitch. Arm works loose & free while he drives his lower 1/2 off of the rubber to get all his can into the pitch. Changeup has tail with some arm-side run (78-80 mph). Miller is a talented lefty who we're looking forward to seeing throw in the Under Armour All-America Game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
