03/21/2021 - All-In Membership - San Jose, CA Morgan is a 2024 LHP/OF. Medium frame athletic build with room to add to. Primary LHP who coils into rear hip and pivots off back foot. Eyes on target as he works down the slope of the mound. Throws from a 3/4 slot who was up to 75mph on his FB during his bullpen. Mixed in a 1/7 shaped curveball with good tilt and ability to throw for strikes. Flashed a developing changeup that he has a tendency to slow arm and force it down. Command/feel and arm strength will improve with time and repetitions. Secondary OF starts with a good pre-pitch routine. Quick feet and good routes allow him to run down balls. Accurate and online throws into the infield from a 3/4 slot and an arm velocity of 75mph. Right-handed hitter starts with an even and tall stance. High hand set and simple load into a balanced launch position. Rotates lower half with good extension through contact as he hit line drives to the pull side at 78mph. 4 years of continued growth and development should give Morgan the opportunity to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
