08/19/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Trenton, NJ Nate is a versatile catcher, shortstop, and right-handed pitcher who caught the attention of scouts at the All-Ripken event in NJ. On the mound, he demonstrated solid mechanics, consistently attacking hitters and pitching to contact. His fastball sat at 52-53 mph with arm side run, making it challenging for batters to make solid contact. At the plate, Nate showcased his impressive bat-to-ball skills, recording multiple hits and displaying excellent hand-eye coordination. Defensively, he threw out two runners from behind the plate, highlighting his ability to get the ball out quickly and accurately to the lead bag. Overall, Nate's combination of defensive prowess and offensive ability makes him a standout prospect to watch as he continues to develop.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
