07/13/2023 - National Showcase - Tacoma, WA Nate is an RHP/OF prospect who will graduate in 2027. A young/developing player with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. In the OF he showed ability to make routine plays and will lay out for balls. Aggressive routes enable him to create good fielding angles as he works through the ball. Made accurate throws through cutoff man from a high 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity up to 81mph. On the mound this right-handed pitcher has a good rear hip coil and keeps his eyes on target. He gathers over rubber and rotates to target. Attacks hitters with a FB that sits 76-77mph with arm side run and a 10/4 shaped breaking ball that he throws for strikes. FB was best pitch during his bullpen. At the plate he hits from a tall and even stance. He hits into a firm frontside and gets extended through the baseball. He sprayed balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 82mph during BP. As he continues to develop and mature, we see this 2-way prospect making huge strides on the baseball field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
