06/13/2010 - College PREP - Chicago, IL Nathan is a young 2B (2014) who shows effort and enthusiasm in his actions. He displayed an accurate arm when making routine plays . He attacks ball in front and attempts to play though them. He takes good angles to glove side. He'll need to work on all fundamental aspects of his defensive game, especially footwork and body position when fielding. Arm strength will come over time, but he can aid this development by following a long toss program. Offensively, he presented a good set-up position and okay balance in his hitting position. He is a pull hitter and tends to swing uphill with slow moving hands. Utilizing a loose hands approach could help his bat speed. Also, he will need to make fundamental adjustments to his lower half approach. Overall, he has a lot of time to make necessary adjustments.
