01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Nathan showed as a top prospect at the All-America Pre-Season Tournament. On the mound, he shows great mound presence and composure. Delivery is sound and repeatable as he works through a quick tempo. He does a nice job of fielding his position. He shows a 3-pitch mix, keeping hitters guessing. Fastball shows a range of 86-89 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with tight spin and late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with good sinking action. Off speed stuff are quality pitches that will get outs. Control is outstanding as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Nathan has a big upside and will get looks from the top collegiate coaches and pro scouts with his baseball abilities.

07/17/2023 - National Showcase - Highland Park (DFW), TX Nathan is an OF/RHP who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame stout build with broad shoulders and strength present. Ran his 60-yard dash in 6.9 seconds. In the OF showed efficient footwork and ability to cover ground in all directions. Aggressive routes enable him to create good fielding angles as he works through the ball. Showed ability to flip his hips and go get balls. Made accurate and on-line throws into infield from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up 87mph. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher has a good rear hip coil and keeps his eyes on target. He gathers over rubber and rotates to target. Attacks hitters with his FB that sits 80-81mph at the bottom of the zone. Mixed in a 12/6 shaped breaking ball with good depth, a slider from the same window at CB, and a changeup with arm side run that he throws with FB arm speed. At the plate he starts with a tall and open stance. Has natural juice in swing and swings looking to do damage. He hits balls hard to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 81mph during BP. As he continues to develop and mature, we see him having opportunities to play at the next level.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Nathan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. On the mound, delivery is sound and repeatable, allowing his arm action to work clean to the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 84 mph. Fastball showed a range of 81-84 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with sharp break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. In the OF, he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields, flashing gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

11/06/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Plano (DFW), TX Nathan is a RHP/OF prospect who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame athletic build with strength present. Ran his 60-yard dash in 6.78 seconds. A right-handed pitcher, has long levers and a projectible frame. He shows good rhythm to his delivery with good direction to towards the plate. Easy delivery with ability to repeat it. He gathers over the rubber, with a good balance point, and lands square to his target. Throws a FB that was up to 76mph with natural cutting action. He mixes in a 12/6 shaped breaking ball that flashes good depth, and a changeup that had some cutting action. CB was best pitch during his bullpen session. In the OF, takes aggressive angles to balls, with quick/fluid footwork, and showed good instincts as he worked behind and through the baseball. He fields from an athletic fielding position with a clean gather off of his left foot. Made accurate and on-line throws into infield with an arm velocity up to 86mph. At the plate, he sets up with a tall and even stance. He has natural strength in swing, with quickness to hands, and is balanced at contact. He hit balls consistently to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 85mph during his round of BP. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee this 2-way prospect having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
