10/20/2024 - National Showcase - Orange County, CA Nathan is a second baseman from Chino, CA, in the 2028 graduating class. Defensively, he works diligently to keep the ball in front, showing a strong focus on positioning and tracking the ball, and he delivers throws from a low 3/4 arm slot, demonstrating good accuracy and consistency. At the plate, he hits from a closed stance and keeps his hands inside the baseball, showing a solid approach, particularly with a good ability to drive the ball to the opposite field. While he has a strong foundation, he will benefit from more time to develop in all areas of his game. With continued growth and refinement, he has the potential to become a well-rounded player moving forward.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
