07/12/2019 - Interactive Video Program - San Marcos (San Diego), CA Nathan is a young, 2-way player who plays 1B and RHP. Defensively, Nathan moves well around the bag, he has good lateral movements, and he fields squarely. He makes plays, his exchange is clean, and Nathan throws with accuracy and consistency to his target. On the mound, Nathan separates his hands on time, he lands with good direction toward home plate, and finishes in a complete position. At the plate, Nathan has a tall stance, good balance, and he loads his hands well. He swings a level stick, creates leverage, and he uses his lower body. Overall skills can continue to improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
