11/07/2021 - All-In Membership - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Nathan is a young, 2-way player who pitches and plays 3rd base. On the mound, Nathan has good balance over the rubber, a clean arm circle, and on-time separation. He works well to his balance point, lands with a proper length stride toward home, and he repeats his delivery well. More glove side lead, and loosening his arm action a bit can help abilities on the mound get better. At 3B, Nathan has efficient footwork, a presentable glove, and he fields in a low/square position. He has good overall actions, an accurate arm, and throws with solid strength across the diamond. If Nathan can quicken his exchange and release, and play more through the ball, solid defensive numbers will get better. At the plate, Nathan has a square/athletic stance, good balance, and a level swing path. He works the ball gap to gap well, swings in good rhythm, and taps into his lower 1/2. If Nathan can continue to add bat speed, and work on contact points, hitting will spike.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
