07/19/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Trenton, NJ Nathanael is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate high school in 2027. At SS, he shows active/efficient footwork as he tries to center the baseball. Takes aggressive angles to glove side and shows ability to cover ground. Tries to field out front from a square fielding position. Clean exchange, with loose arm action, and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. Throws were on-line, with good carry, and an arm velocity of 58mph. On the mound, a right-handed pitcher who works exclusively from the stretch. He gathers over rubber, with good tempo to delivery, and works with good direction towards plate. Throws a FB that sits 46-47mph and a developing splitter that has proper rotation and works down. SPL was best pitch during bullpen. A right-handed hitter starts with an athletic and square stance. Has a good setup, with a short/square stride to contact, and a direct hand path. He sprayed balls to all fields consistently with a bat exit velocity of 52mph during BP. Another 6 years of continued growth and development will put him on track to have opportunities to play at the high school level and beyond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
